Terms and conditions of use

Article 1 – Purpose

These terms govern the sales by Absurdity Shoes of custom-made shoes.

Article 2 – Prices

The prices of our products are indicated in dollars, all taxes included (VAT not applicable - Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code), unless stated otherwise, and excluding processing and shipping fees.

For orders placed outside mainland France, you are considered the importer of the product(s). Customs duties or other local taxes, import duties, or state taxes may be required. These charges are not the responsibility of Absurdity shoes.

They are your responsibility and must be handled by you, including any necessary declarations and payments to the appropriate authorities in your country.

We recommend checking with your local authorities for more information.

All orders, regardless of origin, are payable in dollars.

Absurdity shoes reserves the right to change its prices at any time, but products will be billed based on the rates in effect at the time the order is confirmed, subject to availability.

Products remain the property of Dance Shop Méli Mélo until full payment has been received.

Note: Once you physically take possession of the products, the risk of loss or damage is transferred to you.

Article 3 – Foot Measurements

Measure your foot on a sheet of paper by tracing it and measuring from the toe to the heel. This corresponds to your shoe size.

Article 4 – Handmade Shoes & Customization

The shoes are handcrafted, not mass-produced, and made to measure. Therefore, they may not be 100% identical to each other or to the photos shown.

  • Solid-colored fabrics may vary slightly depending on screen lighting and resolution.

  • Patterned fabrics may also vary due to fabric cuts, material availability at the time of manufacturing, and screen settings.

  • Rhinestones may differ slightly depending on the artist who applies them by hand.

Article 5 – Orders

Contractual information is presented in English and will be confirmed at the latest at the time of order validation.

Absurdity shoes reserves the right not to process a payment or confirm an order for any reason, especially in case of supply issues or problems with the received order.

Article 6 – Order Confirmation

Any order placed on the Absurdity shoes website implies full acceptance of these Terms of Sale.

Order confirmation constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these terms.

All provided data and the confirmed order will serve as proof of the transaction.
You acknowledge full understanding of these terms.
Order confirmation equals signature and acceptance of the transaction.

A summary of your order will be sent to you by email once confirmed.

Article 7 – Payment

By validating your order, you agree to pay the indicated price.

Payments can be made via wire bank transfert.

Article 8 – No Returns or Refunds

Due to the customizable nature of the shoes, the right of withdrawal does not apply, as per Article L.121-21-8 of the French Consumer Code, which excludes:

  • Fully executed services started with consumer consent.

  • Products tied to financial market fluctuations.

  • Goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized.

  • Perishable or rapidly expiring items.

  • Goods unsealed after delivery for hygiene reasons.

  • Mixed goods that cannot be separated.

  • Alcoholic beverages delivered after 30 days with fluctuating value.

  • Audio/video/software products unsealed after delivery.

  • Newspapers, magazines (except subscriptions).

  • Public auction purchases.

  • Digital content not on a physical medium, started with consumer’s consent.

Article 9 – Exchange of size

Return label must be created by you, via your local post or another shipping service.Return address:

You can exchange with 1 month after receive the goods, then it will be not possible anymore.

Article 10 – Availability

All products are in stock, if ithe product chosen is out of stock, you can get a refund.

Article 11 – Delivery

Products are delivered to the address you provided during checkout, within one week of packaging, and 72hours of shipping.

If shipping is delayed, you will be informed by email.

Due to the custom nature of the products, you waive the right to cancel the order under Article L 138-1 of the Consumer Code in case of delay due to production or shipping.

In case of delay, we may include free gifts (e.g. socks, heel protectors, brushes, shoes) depending on availability.

Absurdity shoes is not liable for delivery delays caused by carriers.

Article 12 – Liability

Products comply with French law. Absurdity shoes is not responsible if local laws prohibit their use/import.

Absurdity shoes is not liable for damage from misuse of products or for internet-related issues such as service interruptions, hacking, or viruses.

Article 13 – Applicable Law in Case of Disputes

The contract language is English, you are located in france so these terms are governed by French law. In case of disputes, French courts have exclusive jurisdiction.

Article 14 – Intellectual Property

All elements of the Absurdity shoes site are and remain the intellectual property of the company.
No one is authorized to reproduce, exploit, distribute, or use any part of the site (software, visuals, sounds) without express written permission.

Hyperlinks are strictly forbidden without prior written approval.

Article 15 – Personal Data

Absurdity shoes reserves the right to collect personal data.
This is necessary to process orders and improve service.
Data may be shared with third parties involved in processing or delivering your order.

Data is stored securely to meet legal obligations.

In accordance with the French Data Protection Act (January 6, 1978), you have the right to access, correct, and oppose personal data via the website.

Article 16 – Proof & Archiving

Absurdity shoes will archive orders and invoices on a reliable and durable medium, as per Article 1348 of the Civil Code.
Electronic records will be considered valid proof of communications, orders, and payments.

Article 17 – Updates to Terms

We reserve the right to update our terms of sale. Please review them periodically under “Information > Terms of Sale.”

Article 18 – Special Conditions for Sales

We make the order like the customization of customers, we are not responsible of any terms of langage, that customer use to make the shoes. We decline all text customization responsibility at the profit customer.
